SEE ALL OF THE MODELS' CHALLENGE #2 MOOD SERIES PHOTO SHOOT. |

| Modeling, like acting uses the face, props and body to create an illusion, an emotion or tell a story. Unfortunately, many aspiring models never get past the one, "portrait look" that they're good at. Part of being a good/working professional model is being able to emote and respond to photographers' direction. Understanding how to capture an expression & portray a mood or emotion is vital to effective modeling. In this challenge, model's were given 5 different emotions that they each had to deliver on-camera. The key, of course, was to not only exude the appropriate emotion, in the subtlest way possible, but also to look good doing it! The model's who were most successful at doing this during the shoot scored the highest. Model Andrea won the competition with Model Adaline coming in 2nd. TEN TIPS FOR BEING A GOOD POSER: 1. PRACTICE POSING IN FRONT OF A MIRROR 2. KNOW WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU STRIKE DIFFERENT POSES 3. PRACTICE DIFFERENT WAYS TO SHOW AN EMOTION 4. LEARN DIFFERENT ANGLES OF YOUR HEAD & NECK TO EXPRESS YOURSELF 5. LOOK AT PICTURES OF OTHER GOOD MODEL POSES AND PRACTICE THEM 6. DO AS MANY TEST SHOOTS AS POSSIBLE 7. EXPERIMENT WITH ACTING & GET COMFORTABLE EXPRESSING YOURSELF NON-VERBALLY 8. ALWAYS BE AWARE OF YOUR EXPRESSIONS - EXPRESSIVE DOESN'T MEAN GOOFY 9. HAVE MORE THAN ONE LOOK FOR EACH POSSIBLE EMOTION 10. KNOW YOUR FACE, YOUR BEST ANGLES & YOUR WORST ...and most importantly don't be scared to open yourself up to the camera |
